This is the 22^nd year for the THE Awards.

Higher education has undergone tremendous change since we started; but we still, as we did in 2005, seek to recognise the core qualities that make for success in our universities and colleges: clarity of vision; strategic thinking and planning; talent, teamwork and individual brilliance; and, underpinning it all, dedication and determination.

These annual awards focus primarily on work that took place during the most recent complete academic year: 2024-25. However, there is some flexibility in our timeline, so please do check our entry guidelines.

As ever, we look forward to reading about your proudest recent achievements, and celebrating the best stories with you all towards the end of the year.

For this year’s ceremony, we’re heading back to Birmingham, but to a new venue for us, The Vox.

The key dates for this year’s cycle are: 

• Thursday, 9 April 2026: Entries open
• Monday, 8 June 2026: Entries close (23:55)
• Thursday, 3 Sept 2026: Announcement of the shortlists entries
• Thursday, 26 Nov 2026: Announcement of the winners
