Al Murray
Al Murray with his alter ego, The Pub Landlord, is one of the most recognisable and successful comics in the UK.
For more than 20 years, he has filled arenas around the world, won numerous awards and successfully hosted an array of television series including Al Murray’s Happy Hour (ITV) and Time Gentlemen Please (Sky One). He has appeared three times on The Royal Variety Performance (ITV1), hosted Live at the Apollo (BBC One) and Live at the Palladium (ITV).
Al has also combined his passion for film and history in two specials for BBC Four – Al Murray’s Great British War Movies and Al Murray’s Great British Spy Movies – and presented Al Murray’s Road to Berlin for the Discovery Channel.
As a writer, Al has enjoyed success with his books The Pub Landlord’s Book of British Common Sense, The Pub Landlord Says Think Yourself British, The Pub Landlord’s Great British Pub Quiz Book and Watching War Films with My Dad.
Al recently finished his 2017 show Let’s Go Backwards Together. Later this year, he will play Jack’s older brother, Idle Al, in the Christmas panto Jack and the Beanstalk.
